Episode 31 Michael Bryant

People with passion speak differently about those passions. You can tell because the passion comes out in the speech of the individual when the subject comes up. My guest today speaks with that same passion. In his own words, “a loud, boisterous, opinionated guy”, Michael Bryant talks about Ocean Springs in a way that only he can.

Mike is the VP of an insurance company, and he serves as the CFO for Coast Cigar Co. in Ocean Springs. His strengths stem from his business prowess. This perspective enables him to view issues in Ocean Springs through a business lens. It’s not a bad perspective. Mike describes the growth of Ocean Springs as being a necessary motive for the long-term success in Ocean Springs. As Mike puts it, “If you don’t grow, you die.”

Mike is a resident of ward one and he is running as a candidate for alderman of ward 1. At first glance, he may strike you as intimidating with his stature, and his command of voice. Yet, he is very reasonable and willing to discuss virtually any issue. We show that on the podcast. We talk about many issues in the city and have a bit of debate here and there. At the end of the day, Mike is a wonderful human with passion for growing the city and improving what we currently have in Ocean Springs.
